Job Description

Our Automation Solutions division has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our growing Decatur, GA, team. This position would be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of high quality, innovative engineering solutions that improves plant productivity, reliability, and sustainability for our North American customers. Responsibilities may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Communicate with customers to define project requirements, interpret and explain designs, and build relationships.
  • Project development, including feasibility studies, project scope definitions, preliminary engineering designs, and capital cost estimates.
  • Design industrial LV and MV electrical power, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Provide site support including commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup.
  • Prepare and evaluate tender and construction packages, including electrical and instrumentation drawings, installation specifications, and other supporting documentation.
  • Provide project management, leadership, and technical guidance to a team of engineers and project stakeholders.

Job Requirements

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in industrial engineering
  • Resourceful, self-managed, and goal driven but still able to work effectively in a team
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the US
  • Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites

Other valued, but non-essential skills, abilities, and experience include:

  • Consulting engineering experience
  • Registered as a PE in Georgia
  • Industrial operations experience
  • Commissioning, construction, and start-up experience
