Job Description

SUMMARY:  Interact with internal / external customers to provide information response to inquiries about products and services, handle and resolve questions / concerns, process orders, and provide information about the organization’s products and services within the refiner plate industry.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES (Responsibilities include but are not limited to):  Provide Customer Service support to International customers, Sales Managers, and Regional Sales entities; create quotations as requested by Product Managers, Sales force, and customers; maintain customer pricing; enter and ensure proper handling of all orders, and coordinate delivery and purchase order requirements with Logistics Department; communicate special shipment dates and date changes to the Regional Sales entities, Sales Mangers, and/or customers. Expedite orders, maintain “make & hold” inventory at minimum levels and keep agreement schedules current; maintain and reconcile customer consignment inventory and keep appendix current; complete required forms and paperwork in a timely manner; report / direct technical problems to the Quality Manager; assist with additional customer service needs, and maintain/distribute various documents.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:  Associate Degree or equivalent experience. Ability to listen, be patient, and attentive in order to best service customers, both internal and external. Must be willing to continuously learn and improve, think logically and methodically in order to apply problem-solving strategies; possess strong computer skills using Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as other office suites / databases (ex: SAP). Must have a strong command of the Company’s customer service policies and procedures (to include terms and conditions) as well as well-trained in product knowledge in order to offer quick and accurate assistance to customers. This position requires a flexible, independent thinker and self-starter with well-developed interpersonal skills, organization, the ability to work under pressure in time sensitive environments, communicate effectively, at all levels, both verbally and in writing, handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work, work independently and as a team member and work with little to no supervision. Additional requirements include maintaining a high degree of accuracy, possess a cooperative attitude, represent Company interest(s) when dealing with customers, and be sensitive to customer satisfaction to include understanding customer needs and possess strong sense of urgency. Must regard confidentiality at all times.

ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Position is performed indoors in an office environment however, occasional visits to manufacturing plant facility with exposure to varying noise levels and temperatures, dust, dirt, heavy duty magnets, welding machines, and manual & remote controlled devices using radio signals, and exposure to fumes. Candidate must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, ascend / descend stairways (all with or without accommodations); possess solid visual acuity, hearing and touch. Position requires work be conducted in a safe and efficient manner at all times, to include wearing necessary PPE.
