Job Description

Major responsibilities are listed but not necessarily limited to the following duties:

• Oversee & supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable department in Spartanburg, SC, to ensure accurate and timely management of all accounts.

• Manage month-end closing process to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results to both USA and Divisional headquarters, as well as local management

• Develop and prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts for the company. Must have the ability to compare and present budgets and forecasts reflecting variances and trends analysis

• Prepare and monitor investment budget

• Cost accounting, cost analyses and cost reduction activities

• Project controlling, support sales engineers in quotations and project cost controlling

• Cash forecasting in support of the Andritz Treasury Group requirements. Hedging of necessary foreign currency transactions;

• Ensure that corporate and local guidelines and policies are followed • Ensure SAP FI/CO data accuracy and correct flow in SAP FI/CO

• Continuous review and optimization of FI/CO and related business processes to minimize risk, increase efficiency and data quality

• Visits to Torrington, CT, (2nd location) are expected as required to support the local resource.

• Business partner of the plant manager - participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of reports

• Mergers & acquisitions activities: due diligence; financial integration of newly acquired companies

• Work with internal and external auditors

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Must have 10 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience. CPA or MBA preferred.

• Fluent in working with MS Excel is a must for data analysis and planning.

• Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable working knowledge is required.

• Must have experience in the budget / forecast process

• Prior experience with SAP is a must

• Needs to have general business acumen Ability to travel international and domestically is required, even though no extended travel is expected with this position.
