Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer (industrial) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, design and delivery of quality electrical, control, and instrumentation projects to customers.

Responsibilities may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Communicate with customers to define project requirements, interpret and explain design, and build relationships.
  • Large capital project development, including feasibility studies, project scope definitions, preliminary engineering designs, and capital cost estimates.
  • Design LV and MV electrical power, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Provide site support including commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup.
  • Prepare and evaluate tender and construction packages including drawings, installation specifications, and other supporting documentation.
  • Provide project management, leadership, and technical guidance to a team of engineers and project stakeholders.

Job Requirements

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or technology diploma in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum of five years’ experience, preferably in industrial engineering
  • Proven ability to successfully manage and deliver large capital or maintenance engineering projects
  • Resourceful, self-managed, and goal driven
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to present to others
  • Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites

Other valued, but non-essential skills, abilities, and experience include:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia
  • Consulting engineering experience
  • Pulp and paper industry experience
  • Process Control System (PCS) experience with DCS and PLCs
  • Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix and Wonderware
