Job Description


  • Site Technical Leadership;
  • Responsibility of preparing technical documents and planning technical execution.

Technical leadership

  • Responsible for providing first line technical support to site team in regards to technical issues and challenges, including reviewing and/or executing analysis and installation calculation as well as mentor and coach site team on technical matters;
  • Lead major/complex non-conformity & technical issues analysis and resolution;
  • Own, manage, maintain and ensure follow-up as well as completion of the punchlist items with site team;
  • Ensuring technical governance and customer relations on technical matters;
  • Contributing to overall quality and excellence in execution of installation & commissioning.

Work Planning

  • Prepare technical documents for the upcoming work in line with planned execution schedule
  • Collaborate with health & safety advisors to ensure that safe work procedure are in place and reviewed as necessary;
  • Prepare lift plans;
  • Coordinate with the Material Manager and/or Foreman and instruct them to identify required equipment for work completion;
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Lead to identify required measurement instruments;
  • Prepare detailed work methods and instructions as needed;
  • Coordinates with site team to ensure task readiness.



Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and member of the professional order of engineers;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with hydro equipment/machinery;
  • Strong knowledge of technical aspects related to hydroelectric turbine and generator site installation;
  • Effective communication skills (oral & written);
  • Reconnu comme expert technique auprès de ses pairs;
  • Excellent problem solving skills, sound judgment, initiative & creativity;
  • Bilingualism in French and English, spoken and written (an asset);
  • Available to travel & work on site for extended periods.
