Job Description

Principles duties:

Major responsibilities are listed but not limited to the following duties:

  • Process calls from Customers requesting quotes for sales and parts
  • Research drawings and technical information as necessary
  • Coordinate with the engineering department as necessary
  • Contact subcontractors for quotes
  • Receive and analyze incoming quotes from vendors
  • Prepare price calculation for management approval
  • Prepare offers and transmit to client
  • Call client for follow up and provide support to secure order
  • Monitor utility and government websites for possible bidding opportunities
  • Maintain files for HPU budgets and proposals
  • Process and distribute all incoming inquiries as well as subsequent addenda
  • Maintain sales calendar/s and inquiry summary sheets
  • Handle bonding and bid requirements as necessary
  • Handle preparation of proposals for approval by management and submission to customers. I.E. preparing binders, table of contents, standard submittal data, assuring that proposal is submitted according to specification requirements. Mail or hand delivers proposals as necessary
  • Maintain order Intake spreadsheets daily, receiving in all purchase orders, and calculations for data entry. Sending order intake information to the management team at the beginning of each month
  • Order all promotional items for trade shows and coordinate all apparel orders through corporate departments or approved vendors
  • Assist in organizing participation in conferences, advertising, and trade shows   

 

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in engineering sales, sales coordination, and bid preparation.
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university or college; preferably a BS in Engineering.
  • Must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision, works well with teammates and customers, and has a results-based mindset.
  • Knowledge of pump selection programs is favorable.
  • Proven ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office and other software.
  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Detail-oriented, able to meet time sensitive goals, and can prioritize workload.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
