Job Description

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:  Reporting to the Product Manager for the Pulp & Paper Division, you will be responsible to manage a full territory and serve as a technical specialist supporting the Hydrocyclone product line.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES (Responsibilities include but are not limited to):  Provide support services for customers utilizing Hydrocyclone parts and systems that are supplied by ANDRITZ; conduct mill audits in order to help identify and make recommendations on effective modifications or upgrades needed to help promote system efficiencies of mill operation; identify problems; research proper solutions and help customers implement these changes successfully. This position requires at least 75% of travel time (combination of Domestic & International).

Job Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:  Technical Degree in Engineering Technology at the Associate level, or combination of education and minimum of two years’ experience within the Pulp & Paper industry or in a related field. Possessing a strong mechanical aptitude is required. This position also requires well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work and cope under pressure in time sensitive environments with multiple priorities. The ability to communicate effectively, at all levels, both verbally and in writing is essential. Other requirements include: Represent Company interests when dealing with customers; possess strong problem-solving and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment; must be self-motivated, make independent decisions, be versatile, flexible, be sensitive to customer satisfaction which includes understanding customers’ needs and possess a strong sense of urgency; maintain a high degree of accuracy, work with little to no supervision, and be able to learn and retain multiple skills and tasks; have a cooperative attitude to interface with all levels and departments inside / outside of the Company; must be able to manage and manipulate a large volume of information for several managers; handle all types of internal and external calls and correspondence.

ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Home-based office work is performed in an air-conditioned environment however, frequent visits to customers requires the capability of working in a mill environment with exposure to varying noise and temperature levels, dust, dirt, possibly heavy duty magnets & welding machines, manual & remote controlled devices using radio signals, and exposure to fumes. You must be able to lift at least 25 lbs., climb on machines and maneuver within confined spaces without impacting safety of self or others. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, ascend / descend stairways, climb ladders; requires visual acuity for purpose of evaluating equipment, drawings, and reports. Must possess good mobility in order to travel by private & public transportation to job site locations and endure long working hours when required. Position requires work to be conducted in a safe and efficient manner at all times, to include wearing the required PPE.
