Job Description

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

The Commercial Manager works alongside the Project Manager to oversee the proper execution of the project. The tasks are of commercial, financial, tax, insurance and legal nature:

  • Project cost tracking and controlling (using ERP systems and EVA tools);
  • Project reporting (internal and external);
  • Claim management, including preparation of claims, setting up claim strategy, and negotiating settlement in front of customers or suppliers;
  • Risk mitigation and support of project strategy;
  • Foreign exchange management;
  • Create and maintain projects in SAP;
  • Produce project milestone invoice in accordance with project terms and conditions;
  • Project Cash Flow forecasting.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Strong client liaison skills, project management and team leadership;
  • Extensive understanding of the construction industry and a talent for negotiation;
  • Good communication skills (oral & written);
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and in cross functional teams;
  • Knowledge of business-related commercial and financial issues;
  • Knowledge of insurance and legal issues (an asset);
  • Project Management skills (an asset);
  • SAP or other EPC experience (an asset);
  • Strong knowledge of excel.
