Job Description

ANDRITZ is seeking a self-motivated individual to provide support to the product managers and service area for the wood yard.

  • Duties include, but are not limited to, roles that span sales, field service, project management and business development
  • Utilize knowledge of market conditions and OEM equipment capabilities to provide input to customers to help identify needs and develop sales strategies 
  • Assist in identification of opportunities in the pulp and paper market for business services that will drive company growth
  • Provide sales calls to customers to grow the market for wood services; including spare parts, upgrades, inspections
  • Respond to inquiries from both internal and external customer’s and develop proposed solutions
  • Develop project scopes, proposal estimates, manufacturing and installation plans and field services schedules and communicate these effectively with customers
  • Meet budgetary objectives for products and report any cost overruns in a timely manner
  • Provide guidance and cooperation with engineering to develop concepts and drawings for customer projects
  • Develop proposals and ensure timely communications with the customer
  • Ability to present to customers concepts, proposals, equipment capabilities and design in a confident and professional manner
  • Ability to execute and perform project management duties per company guidelines
  • Ability to manage field contract personnel while on-site performing services including installation, maintenance, and repair of woodyard equipment
  • Ensure all customer issues are satisfactorily resolved utilizing engineering, manufacturing, field services, spare parts and other teams as needed
  • Perform log-line inspections and troubleshooting as-needed

This position requires some amount of travel primarily within North America.

Job Requirements


  • B.S. Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Pulp and Paper degree
  • 7 to 10 years pulp and paper experience; project management, field service, sales and supporting roles
  • Able to read and interpret construction drawings, sales contracts and execute project requirements
  • Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions with the ability to multi-task in an efficient and professional manner
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively; both verbal and written
  • Fluent in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Projects, WebCRM and AutoCAD is a plus
  • Experience with Pulp and Paper wood processing equipment is a plus
