Job Description

  1. Participate in the purchasing of catalog parts and supplies for all Andritz Separation facilities in North America.
  2.  Analyze purchase requisitions and review for accuracy, completeness, and clarity. Obtain necessary missing information where required.
  3. Prepare, obtain and analyze RFQ’s to get the best price and lead time available.
  4. Create PO’s and check for accuracy and completeness before issuing.
  5. Review confirmations for agreement with PO’s and resolve and discrepancies with the supplier.
  6. Follow-up or expedite orders as necessary to meet schedules.
  7. Keep the Supply Chain Manager informed of all activities or problems and submit reports as requested by the manager.
  8. Daily interface with Vendors, Production, Spare Parts, Quality Control, and Materials which may require travel by way of air or ground transportation.

Job Requirements

Three or more years experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing or Machine shop environment.

Must have SAP or other procurement software program experience.

Strong negotiation and communication skills required.

Must be extremely organized with attention to details.

Willing to work overtime as needed.
