Job Description


Plans production based upon customer / customer service order input as well as develops a schedule and releases manufacturing work orders. Interact with internal / external customers and resolve questions / concerns in order to provide information regarding production and scheduling timelines.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES (Responsibilities include but are not limited to):

Enter manufacturing work orders into SAP; answer questions regarding order status for both Sales and Customer Service Team(s); provide production lead-time quotes to Sales & Customer Service; manage daily production schedule to meet customer delivery targets; work with various manufacturing departments to adjust schedule and address resource needs on a timely basis to meet schedule demands; monitor shipping performance and work with manufacturing to address shortfalls; develop and implement process improvements. Expectation is to perform additional duties such as inventory analysis, cycle count administration, and long-range scheduling. In addition, must be willing to return to work for after hour emergency shipments, when required.

Job Requirements


BA / BS Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to listen, be patient, and attentive in order to best service customers, both internal and external. Must be willing to continuously learn and improve, think logically and methodically in order to apply problem-solving strategies; possess strong computer skills using Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as other office suites / databases (ex: SAP & Access); must possess strong, accurate typing skills. This position requires a flexible, independent thinker and self-starter with well-developed interpersonal skills, organization, the ability to work under pressure in time sensitive environments, communicate effectively, at all levels, both verbally and in writing, handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work, work independently and as a team member and work with little to no supervision. Additional requirements include maintaining a high degree of accuracy, possess a cooperative attitude, represent Company interest(s) when dealing with customers, and be sensitive to customer satisfaction to include understanding customer needs and possess strong sense of urgency. Must regard confidentiality at all times.


Position is performed indoors in an office environment however, occasional visits to manufacturing plant facility with exposure to varying noise levels and temperatures, dust, dirt, heavy duty magnets, welding machines, and manual & remote controlled devices using radio signals, and exposure to fumes. Candidate must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, ascend / descend stairways, move between different departments (all with or without accommodations); possess solid visual acuity, hearing and touch. Position requires work be conducted in a safe and efficient manner at all times, to include wearing necessary PPE.
