Job Description

The Technical Project Assistant candidate supports the Project Manager and Project Engineer in the general coordination and management of the Project(s) with tasks touching on the Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Installation teams. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensures effective communications between engineering, construction, and project controls groups;
  • Supports the advancement of the technical strategy and the supply plan in collaboration with the Project Manager, Project Engineer and the Procurement Department;
  • Participates in the technical discussions and expediting of the suppliers and sub-contractors ;
  • Supports the coordination of engineering deliverables and supply deliveries;
  • Provides input to Project change management
  • In collaboration with the Project Engineer, implements contingency plans to correct any failure or inadequacy that can have an impact on their Projects.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in French and English;
  • Experience in the fields of hydroelectricity, energy producing equipment or related manufacturing activities an asset;
  • Proven leadership and experience in project or technical coordination an asset.
